Techno-Wizard Force Fields

Its has always been a problem, in the wilderness or outside of the fortified cities of the Coalition, top protect buildings/property/camp-sites from rampaging monsters/DBees/Bandits/Demons etc.
This problem had faced Shiftsville for a number of years, since its small militia and the Mercenary Garrison couldn't be every where at once, and with residents upto 20 miles from the city limits it could be 20 minutes before help arrived.
What was needed was a form of Armour of Ethan or Energy Field that could be applied to buildings or at least an area. In January 92 PA a young alien human by the kname of Innioth Yellan of the Keonn race arrived in Shiftsville via his home planets equivalent of the Bermuda Triangle. He was an engineering genius (Super:Hardware-Electonics/Mechanical), who after aclimitisation became fascinated with Techno-Wizzardry.
After 5 years of study he created his first TW item in late December 97 PA and set about solving the Force field problem. With his knowledge of force field generation and distribution he knew he needed a generator and relay set, similar to that depicted in the late 20C TV series called "StarTrek Voyager".
The first working prototype saw the light of day in March 99 PA and could protect a 20ft diameter area. By Decemeber of that year the first commercially usable version was available. Since then the area and protection have been slowly increased, and additional capabilities added.
Note
As of Dec 101PA there are only 4 known Techno-wizzards with the capabilities to create these devices and they all still reside in Shiftsville. Innioth,his two partners, and their apprentice are the major supplier of these devices. One of their former partners has just set up on her own, but it will be late 102PA before she will be in a position to attempt to build her first unit as an independant.

Force Field Generator

Components :- Area Protected :- upto 100feet(30m) radius [min 20ft(6m) radius]
Protection :- Construction Time :- 10-12 months for a complete system by a single Techno-wizzard. 6 months by a three man team.
Usage :- The units are activated by 10 P.P.E or 20 I.S.P. Once activated the unit becomes armed. When a creature larger than a domestic cat enters sensor range the force field is triggered using 1 charge. Once activated the force field remains up for 30 minutes, until it is destroyed (A typical SAMAS RPA can knock down a Class 1 light field in about 20 seconds), or until it is switched off.
A Light unit holds three charges, a medium unit 5 charges, and a heavy unit 8 charges. Two Ball Lightening Spells replenish 1 charge.

Note
As of Dec 101PA, Innioth and his team have only built and installed 5 units. A Class 3 heavy unit for Nero, Class 2 medium units at Bill's Machine Shop and Mitchell's Garage, and class 1 light units as Shimber's Cabin and Anster's Cabin.
